Scalp Acupuncture
Scalp Acupuncture is a specialized form of acupuncture that is used mostly for people with stroke, nervous-system disorders, including spinal cord injury (SCI) and multiple sclerosis (MS). Scalp acupuncture is a microsystem of various parts of the body and can treat many of the same disorders as traditional acupuncture as well. Generally, Scalp Acupuncture has shown positive benefits for stroke patients. Studies have shown that through altering blood hormone levels, scalp acupuncture influences stroke-inducing platelet clumping. In addition, numerous people with MS, SCI, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), traumatic and head injuries have also benefited from scalp acupuncture. |
